Some Kind of Wonderful is a stunning 72-foot custom-built Fountaine Pajot catamaran that redefines charter luxury. Completely refit in 2024, she blends her original prestige with modern upgrades for a sailing experience unlike any other. Strikingly sleek, extraordinarily elegant, and exceedingly spacious, she delivers a five-star floating retreat for the most discerning travelers. Originally launched in 2016 as a privately owned yacht, she joined the charter fleet in 2023 and is now ready to impress.

With a custom carbon fiber mast and boom, Kevlar standing rigging, and extended hulls and keels, she is lighter, faster, and stronger than the standard Victoria—ensuring guests reach their destinations quickly and smoothly whether under power or sail.

The luxuriously appointed interior and notable design of Some Kind of Wonderful have been perfected for socializing, with endless space both above and below deck. The open and airy salon features wraparound windows for 360° views, an inviting sofa for lounging or movie nights on the cinema screen, and a chef’s dream galley with state-of-the-art appliances, extensive counterspace, and fine porcelain tableware.

Her massive flybridge—a guest favorite—offers dual access points for safe and easy movement throughout the yacht. It features an oversized C-shaped sofa, twin cocktail tables, 2 bench seats, 2 large daybeds, a versatile awning, and dedicated flybridge fridges to keep cocktails cold as you enjoy panoramic sunsets and island breezes.

The expansive aft deck is shaded by the flybridge above and offers a beautiful setting for formal dining, along with additional bench seating and twin lounge/daybeds. At the foredeck, two bow seats, trampolines, and more daybeds create a serene front-row seat for dolphin-spotting, sunbathing, or simply soaking in the views.

Some Kind of Wonderful accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 spacious ensuite cabins: one king primary suite and three queen suites. Each stateroom features a private ensuite bathroom with a separate dry shower stall, individual climate control, and premium linens and beach towels. The primary suite is exceptionally large and includes a seating area, desk/vanity, television, king-size bed, and a luxurious bathroom with a double vanity and oversized glass shower.

She carries an impressive collection of brand-new water toys, including stand-up paddleboards, a double kayak, 360 Hangout, snorkel gear, tube, knee board, water skis, and more. Her extended tender platform doubles as a swim platform for easy access to ocean adventures.

After a day of island-hopping, water sports, and exploration, unwind with a chef-prepared gourmet dinner in the beautifully lit cockpit or sip a custom cocktail under the stars. Capt. Matt Jacobs

Born and raised along the shores of Lake Michigan, Matt’s lifelong connection to the water began at an early age. His childhood summers were spent sailing and powerboating with family and friends across the Great Lakes and surrounding inland waters. A pivotal year spent sailing the East Coast and Bahamas with his family sparked a deeper love for the ocean—one that would go on to shape his life and career.

Since then, Matt has spent countless years boating and sailing the East Coast and Caribbean, with extensive time on the Chesapeake Bay, the Puget Sound, and the waters surrounding the Big Island of Hawai‘i. For the past five years, he has worked professionally as a boat captain in Hawai‘i, refining his skills and sharing his love for the ocean with others.

With a lifetime of experience on the water, Matt feels most at home at sea. His calm presence, adventurous spirit, and deep respect for the ocean shine through in every charter. He holds scuba certification and enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities, including freediving, spearfishing, biking, surfing, running, hiking, and yoga.

Always in search of the next adventure, Captain Matt is committed to creating a safe, fun, and unforgettable experience for every guest who steps aboard.

 

Chef Tiera Conley

Chef Tiera brings a vibrant blend of Maui island roots, global inspiration, and heartfelt hospitality to the galley aboard Some Kind of Wonderful. Born and raised in Hawai‘i, she grew up surrounded by tropical abundance and developed a passion for cooking with fresh, organic produce and a true farm-to-table style.

Her menus are as colorful and diverse as her background. Guests can expect everything from creative vegan dishes bursting with flavor, to indulgent red meats marinated and cooked to perfection, to the freshest-caught seafood prepared with elegance. Tiera especially loves crafting bright ceviches, delicate sashimi, and tropical desserts that balance the natural sweetness of fruit with rich, indulgent touches.

Her flair extends beyond the plate—she’s known for mixing vibrant, island-inspired cocktails that pair perfectly with her meals and add a festive, refreshing note to every charter. With an eye for detail and a deep love for feeding people well, she curates every menu to reflect her guests’ preferences and to make each day onboard feel special.

Warm, creative, and always eager to share the aloha spirit, Tiera makes dining aboard Some Kind of Wonderful an experience that is both nourishing and indulgent—a true celebration of the sea and the islands.
